RadBox Update Guide: Stay Ahead of the Game

Once in a while, you might get a heads-up from us or the FireFly app that an update is needed for your system. No worries, we'll walk you through it:

Set up your personal hotspot

First, let's get your personal hotspot all set up with a rad new name and password that the RadBox can recognize. Here's what you need to do based on your device:

For APPLE users:

Open up your device and head to Settings.
From there, tap on General and then go ahead and tap About.
Tap on the first line that shows the name of your device. Give it a cool new name that you dig, then tap Done.
Go back to Settings and find Personal Hotspot. Tap on it.
Look for the option that says Wi-Fi Password. Set the password to "TITANUPDATE" (yep, all caps, my friend).

For ANDROID users:

Lucky you, you can take a more direct route. Just open up your Hotspot Settings. Follow the steps above and give your hotspot a fresh new name and password. Feel free to rock it out.

Activate Update Mode

Now, pick up your RadBox unit and switch it into update mode. Grab a trusty paperclip and give the button under the power button two clicks. The lights will flash in a captivating red and blue dance, indicating that the auto-update process is underway.

If the lights keep flashing, it means the update didn't quite go as planned. No worries, just repeat the steps above and give it another shot. You'll get there!

Once the update is complete, your system will restart, and you'll see that familiar red light shining bright. Consider it your signal that everything's up to date and ready to rock!
